For anybody interested in the Total Gym, check out the FAQ here, that will surely answer some of your questions.
Is the Machine Sturdy?
The Total Gym XLS is shockingly well manufactured. Despite its relatively low cost and ease of setting up, the machine is as sturdy as anything you’ll use in a pay-per-month gym. When working out, I never worry about the sturdiness of the machine. I also never worry about who used the machine before me and whether they were courteous enough to wipe it down.
How Simple is it to Set Up?
The Total Gym XLS was a breeze to set up. Upon reading the website claim “no assembly required”, I was no believer. Now that I’ve set one up, I’m happy to discover I was wrong. The entire process was straight forward, and I was ready to go. This is a factor I would attribute a lot of my success to. One of the things about gyms that had always held me back was the time it took to get there, get ready, wait on machines, finally finish and then get home. That was too much, and I felt not worth my time.
It seems to me that if the machine had been a pain to set up, I would have quit. I would have returned it right away, and probably quit. I’d have still been out of shape, and I would not be the better version of myself that I am today. Instead, I worked out that day. I worked out the next day. The next month, I was eight pounds lighter and a million pounds heavier is pride.
